 At
Hoang Son hotel in Ninh Binh city, the department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized professional
training courses on hospitality for over 160 staff
working at accommodation establishments in the province.
The participants were divided into 3 classes according
to the profession including: reception, restaurant and
room service. Participants learnt about professional
theory, combined with practice on class. On completion
of the course participants will be awarded profession
certificate. This is an opportunity for the
accommodation establishments to meet, exchange
experience so as to improve professionalism, create
competition among the units in the province, this is
also a step towards preparation for the important events
in the province, contributing to implementation of
National Action program on tourism.
Previously, in Ninh Hai commune, Department of Culture,
Sports and Tourism of Ninh Binh in collaboration with
Project Management Capacity Development sponsored by
European Union has opened a training course for the
guides and presenters at the tourist sites in the
province according to VTOS standard.
Attending the opening ceremony was representatives of
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and 30
participants who are guides and presentors at the
famoust sites such as Trang An tourism complex, Hoa Lu
Old citadel, Cuc Phuong national park, Bai Dinh mountain
pagoda, Tam Coc - Bich Dong area, Thung Nham bird
valley, Dau temple...
The experts of VTOS imparted the participants knowledge
on presentation at tourist spots in order to raise
awareness on tourism, professional skills according to
10 criteria of VTOS, harmonious combination of existing
international standards, adjusted in accordance with the
requirements of Vietnam tourism sector.
