The Temple of Thanh Nguyen worships Ly Trieu Quoc Su
Nguyen Minh Khong (or Ly Quoc Su), a high priest who was
the head of the Ly court in Vietnamese history due to

built by Nguyen Minh Khong himself in 1121. After his

Temple of Nguyen Cong Tru is unique in that it was built
when he was still alive. The predecessor of the temple
was the three-room house of Nguyen Cong Tru living in
Lac Thien hamlet. This is the place for him to go and
work during his time living in Kim Son. In 1852, Kim Son
people built and renovated it into Sinh Tu temple (for a
living person). Every year, on the birthday of Nguyen
Cong Tru, the people here hold a festival to celebrate
his life. After his death, the people of Kim Son built
another building next to the old house called Tien
Duong, which is the place to worship Nguyen Cong Tru.
The old house is used as the main palace. From here, the
temple was renamed to Truy Tu Tu. In 1992, Nguyen Cong
Tru temple was recognized by the State as a national
historical and cultural relic.
Nguyen Cong Tru Temple is designed in the style of Dinh
letter (Han characters), the front hall has 5
compartments, the harem has 3 compartments. On the left
and right side of Tien Duong, there are 2 co-pillars,
inside Tien Duong there are incense, drum stand, gong
stand and 3 big letters showing the respect and
admiration of the people of Kim Son district for Doanh
Dien Su Nguyen Cong Tru. The middle space of the 3
compartments of the Hau Cung is the place to worship
Nguyen Cong Tru. On the altar, there is an incense bowl
made of white enamel and painted with a picture of a two
dragons adoring the moon. This is a very precious
ancient incense bowl dating from the Tran Dynasty.
6 - Non Nuoc Pagoda
Address: Thanh Binh Ward, Ninh Binh City
Non Nuoc Pagoda - The pagoda is located at the foot of
Non Nuoc mountain, on the banks of the Day River and the
mouth of the Van River. The temple is still famous for
its poetic scenery, bold northern countryside with
charming mountains. Coming here, visitors after
worshiping the pagoda will admire the peaceful scenery
of the Vietnamese village.
The pagoda was built to worship King Ly, but then
collapsed, in the Tran dynasty it was rebuilt to worship
Buddha. Experiencing many events in history, the temple

known as Duc Thuy Son. The pagoda has two gates, an
entrance gate in the north, a gate in the southeast
overlooking the Day River and this gate is also the
