How to get to Trang An?

By road:

takes about 2-3 hours.

From August 2020,
Trang An has one more service to go by
Kayak. Prices range from 250,000 to 400,000 VND
depending on the type of boat (single - double boat).

am to 4:45 pm, subject to change depending on weather

Cultural relics in Trang An tourist area
- Trinh Temple worships 4 gods of the Dinh dynasty -
those who have merit in managing the gold and silver
vaults for the king.
- Tran Temple in Ninh Binh was founded by King Dinh Tien
Hoang, worships Quy Minh town south gate of Hoa Lu. The
unique Tran Temple Festival takes place on March 18 of
the lunar calendar every year.
- Khong temple worships 7 loyal mandarins under Dinh
dynasty, situated in a favorable position against
mountain, overlooking the valley and blue water. All the
statues here are solemnly cast in gilded bronze.
- Vu Lam Palace was an important military base in the
war against the Mongols during the Tran Dynasty. Now
this is the place to worship the kings of the Tran
dynasty.
- Cao Son Temple worships Cao Son god in the western
town of Hoa Lu in the four towns.
Notable caves in Trang An
+ Dia Linh Cave: Thanks to the splendid beauty of
colorful stalactites, Dia Linh cave is also known as
"treasure cave". This is the first cave in the excursion
and has a length of 260m.
+ Nau Ruou Cave: The name of the cave is so named
because it is said that since ancient times, the water
in the cave was used to cook wine for the king.
+ Ba Giot Cave: The stalactites in Ba Giot cave have
many different shapes and colors, especially there is a
hibiscus tree growing from the ceiling upside down.
Legend has it that if anyone catches three drops of
water in the palm of their hand, they will have good
luck and happiness in love.
+ Cave of Fortune (Hang Boi): The name of the Boi cave
is associated with the legend that King Tran used to sow
fortune-telling here. The cave has high archaeological
value thanks to the discovery of imprints of Hoa Binh
culture ten thousand years ago.

+ Film studio 'Kong: Skull Island': This is the place
chosen by the film crew to shoot many scenes in 2016.
The old village studio was restored about 10ha, open for
tourists to visit since April 2017.
Combine Trang An and other sightseeing places:
There are two places you can combine with Trang An to go
in one day: Bai Dinh pagoda and Hoa Lu citadel. If you
go to Bai Dinh, you will have to go early (Bai Dinh is a
very large temple complex and takes a long time to go).
From Hoa Lu to Trang An is quite close (about 1-2km).
